M. Karishma is an Assistant Professor at RV University, with over 12 years of professional experience spanning academia, IT consulting, software engineering, DevOps, cloud computing, and technical training. She holds a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from NIE, Mysore, and an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, both under VTU. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from VTU.
Before joining RV University, she served as an Assistant Professor at RNS Institute of Technology and worked with leading IT organizations including Tata Elxsi, ITC Infotech, Exilant/Quest Global, and Ensys Labs. Her industry experience includes roles in DevOps, IT consulting, software engineering, IT service management, software testing, project management, and technical training.
Her academic interests and teaching expertise include DevOps Engineering, Cloud Computing, C Programming, Unix and Shell Programming, Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Blockchain, Advanced DBMS, Data Warehousing and Data Mining, and Deep Learning and Neural Networks. She has hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, along with DevOps and development tools including Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Maven, Selenium, SonarQube, and JFrog.
As an educator and trainer, she focuses on experiential and industry-oriented learning, helping students connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. She has handled major project coordination, student project exhibitions, workshops, and project evaluation activities.
Her professional strengths include critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, mentoring, presentation skills, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. She is committed to fostering technical competence, continuous learning, and industry-ready skills among students.
