Dr. Ashwin M is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator serving as an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at RV University, Bengaluru. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and possesses over 18 years of extensive experience in higher education, encompassing teaching, research, academic leadership, institutional administration, and industry collaboration.
Throughout his distinguished academic career, Dr. Ashwin M has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing engineering education through innovative teaching methodologies, interdisciplinary research, curriculum design, and outcome-based education. His expertise spans several emerging domains, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, Quantum Computing, Intelligent Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Sustainable Computing, and Smart Technologies.
Dr. Ashwin M has made significant contributions to academic administration and institutional development by actively participating in quality assurance initiatives, accreditation processes, curriculum enhancement, research promotion, faculty mentoring, and student development. As a VTU-recognized Ph.D. Research Supervisor, Dr. Ashwin M actively guides research scholars in cutting-edge areas of Computer Science and Engineering. His research focuses on developing intelligent, sustainable, and scalable computing solutions that address real-world challenges while contributing to technological advancement and societal well-being.
Dr. Ashwin M is a prolific researcher with more than 40 publications in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. He is the editor of the textbook Smart Forestry 5.0 for Powered AI Sustainable Environment and Climate, reflecting his commitment to integrating Artificial Intelligence with environmental sustainability. His innovative research has also resulted in 12 Indian patents, demonstrating his dedication to technological innovation and intellectual property creation.
His academic excellence and professional contributions have been recognized through several prestigious honors, including the Best Engineer Award and the Best Faculty Award (2016 and 2017), acknowledging his outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to engineering education.
